Flipper Bot

The Flipper Bot features a rigid metal chassis with 6 belts, 4 of which are "flippers" that allow for maximum maneuverability. The treaded design allows the bot to travel on rough terrain. The flippers allow us to control the approach angle of the bot, allowing it to climb large and complex obstacles that would stop normal tank tread arrangements. It can even climb stairs!

There are two main driving belts with the job of driving and steering the bot. Each side has a main driving belt and two flippers, all driven by the same motor to keep the belt speed on each side consistent. The front and back sets of flippers can be angled separately to allow for better climbing and support. A microcontroller CPU controls the motors of the bot using a simple game controller.
